List Premier’s Advisor: Training and Education recently visited the Kindergarten affiliated to HNEC Vocational College in Yongcheng, China to introduce List Premier’s Jungle Beat Child and English Language Development Program to the Kindergarten’s Principal, Mrs. Gong, the teachers and students from the HNEC Vocational College. The Kindergarten consists of pre-school children (ages 3 – 5 years) as well as Year one students (age 6 years).
The teachers and children were excited about the “foreign teacher” from List Premier Education visiting their school. The highpoint was the demonstration of a Jungle Beat lesson. What distinguished this demonstration from a usual demonstration was that the class consisted of the Kindergarten’s own Year one students.
The training focused on List Premier’s methodology, technology and philosophy as incorporated in the new Jungle Beat Child and English Language Development Program. The content was delivered by using List Premier’s Interactive Training Program which is based on the same principles, methodology and technology as their training and school programs. The participants enjoyed the interactive approach and at the same time they gained first-hand experience of List Premier’s Interactive Touch Board Programs.
The highpoint for the participants was the demonstration of a Jungle Beat lesson, with the Year one students! They experienced how the theory was incorporated into practice and how the real life situations in the lesson makes learning English easy and fun!
The teachers and students were impressed by the full lesson format of the lessons and the Teacher’s Manual which makes preparing and teaching List Premier’s Programs a dream. They loved the colourful workbooks complementing the lessons because the workbooks serve as reinforcement of the work but also because the workbooks showcase to the parents the work that the children have mastered! They were also impressed by the unique feature of the additional classroom activities incorporated in the Jungle Beat Child and English Language Development Program.
The teachers also took part in the lesson, to the delight of the students! They demonstrated the song “Heads and Shoulders” to the children and then encouraged the children to join them. The teachers and children had so much fun! The “audience” also enjoyed this fun way of learning English as a second language!
After the demonstration the teachers and students had the opportunity to ask questions which led to in-depth discussions about the features of Jungle Beat as well as the implementation of Jungle Beat in the Kindergarten. They were of the opinion that List Premier’s approach opens new doors to the teaching and learning of English as a second or as an additional language!
